About Shift Towards Hope
Shift Towards Hope is a youth-led nonprofit reimagining how we talk about mental health, starting with the youngest minds. We create children's books that build emotional literacy, teach healthy coping skills, and normalize conversations around mental wellness in kids ages 4–8.
What began as a passion project is now a growing movement. Our books are written and illustrated by college students, reviewed by licensed therapists, and donated to schools and families in underserved communities. Each story is crafted to reflect real feelings—like anxiety, fear, or anger—and turn them into moments of hope, healing, and growth.
We believe in shifting the narrative early, because children are not just the next generation—they're the now. Through school donations, community events, and our college ambassador program, we are empowering students and families across the country to talk about mental health openly and without shame.
This is just the beginning. With your support, we can spark lifelong change—one story, one classroom, one child at a time.
